"Partake" is a new event series at Middendorf's Slidell featuring delectable food and libations.  Our next event is officially SOLD OUT -- A Wine Tasting Dinner on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. If you missed this one, don't worry -- there's more to come! On Wednesday, April, 5, 2023, we will have "Sugar & Spice, Whiskey & Ice" -- A Whiskey Tasting Dinner. Whether you're Jack or Jill, whiskey is for everyone! Stay tuned for all the details.

 

We’re now SOLD OUT for our latest Partake event at Middendorf’s Slidell — a Wine Tasting Dinner on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 6:30pm.

Kristen Wright with Copper Cane Wines and Provisions will join us to showcase a selection of their unique wine brands:  Belle Glos, Elouan, Quilt, Böen and Steorra.  This is a wonderful opportunity to taste these wines and discover their distinct qualities.  Copper Cane is based in Napa Valley, California, and their wines are crafted to offer a touch of luxury for everyday indulgence.  Owner and Winemaker Joe Wagner says “We are driven by a passion for making wines that reflect innovation and genuine craftsmanship.”

The Copper Cane wines will be paired with a four course gourmet meal prepared by European Master Chef Horst Pfeifer, current owner of Middendorf’s and former owner of Bella Luna.  Chef Pfeifer started his culinary education at 15 years old and opened Bella Luna, a fine dining restaurant in the French Quarter, at just 28 years old.  Bella Luna had beautiful dining rooms with great views of the city and the Mississippi river.  Many proposals were made there due to the romantic look and feel of the restaurant, and Chef Pfeifer was able to show off his skills as a European Master Chef — a big title that not everyone can put behind their name.   And fortunately for us, he will get to show off his skills once again during the Wine Tasting Dinner at Middendorf’s Slidell.  He is thrilled to present the following menu….

Duck Confit Ravioli in House Made Squid Ink Pasta, Crisp Sage and Basil Leaves

Beef Tenderloin with Porcini and Shallot Duxelles in Flaky Puff Pastry, Red Wine Demi-Glace, Roasted Root Vegetables

Fruit Tart with Shortbread Crust, Tahitian Vanilla Custard, Fresh Seasonal Fruit, Grand Marnier Reduction

Bella Luna Focaccia Bread and Whipped Butter will be available throughout the meal. 

 

 

The evening begins at 6:30pm in the “Bella Luna” private dining room with hors d’oeuvres and wine.  Feel free to walk around and mingle.  At 7:00pm, we will ask for everyone to be seated.  Dinner will begin shortly. 

Seating is banquet style.  This is a social event celebrating our shared love of food and wine.  Attire is business casual.  The price for this Wine Tasting Dinner is 100.00 per person (inclusive of tax and gratuity).  Reservations are required.
