Absolutely! Step outside and feel the breeze on The Porch. It’s open Wednesday-Sunday, 10:30am-9:00pm (weather/staff permitting). The Porch overlooks an inviting sand play area for the kids with palm trees, tiki huts and fountains.
We’re known for our Thin Fried Catfish, but we have a whole lot more on our menu.
Yes, we have a menu for children 10 years and younger.
Yes, you may bring a cake for your celebration, as long as it is a traditional cake (not cupcakes, pies, king cakes, etc.) Keep in mind, we do offer ice cream cakes on our menu that come with an awesome sparkler candle and a Middendorf’s celebration hat! They’re on our dessert menu. Just order from your server.
Yes, we have seating available on The Porch for you and your dog — just make sure they stay on a leash.
We have Happy Hour Wednesday-Friday, 3:00pm-6:00pm. More details are available on our calendar.
Yes, we have a gift shop with all kinds of fun stuff. It’s located on your left when you step inside the restaurant.
We have two types of gift cards: traditional/physical and e-gift cards. You can purchase both in our restaurants or online, and they can be used at Middendorf’s Slidell and Middendorf’s Manchac.
We’re always looking for good people to join our Dorfer Crew. Apply in-person Wednesday-Friday, 11am-4pm or apply online.
The restaurant is owned by Horst and Karen Pfeifer. It’s been locally owned and operated since 1934.
